Nick’s Vision for the Future

Bristol Rovers Chairman, Nick Higgs today revealed his plans for the club in the near future.

Nick has been a fan since he was 5 years old and has been involved with the club for 14 years with Cowlin Construction and is now Chairman.

His plans to finalise the new stadium construction.  He announced today that the new stadium is waiting on financial and legal advice before building can start. The new stadium would help the club financially and stabilise the clubs future. He also commented that it would attract new fans and would help a promotion bid.

With Nick’s experience in construction he is the perfect person to lead the new Stadium forward. He worked his way up in construction and was co-owner of Cowlin and had many property businesses outside the company. He has the right qualities and experience, as well as commitment to make the new stadium happen.

An announcement will likely to be made in the next few weeks concerning the progress.  So watch closely.

We asked Nick about the state of the game and the financial problems of the smaller clubs. He replied “We are financially stable better than most clubs which are going into administration”.

We asked Nick what he saw in the near future for Bristol Rovers he said that he is aiming for the championship in the next three years and get into the higher part of the championship and try and have a good cup run because it generates excitement for fans and a good atmosphere.

Nick does not want Bristol Rovers to go back to being a selling Club but wants to bring on local talent and keep it at the club.

As Bristol Rovers supporters we all wanted to know if he was planing to sell Ricky Lambert to another club. He replied “No the only way he would sell him is if he wanted to leave the club”.  He has had offers from other Clubs for Ricky and Danny Coles and has rejected them.
